Desolation

Beyond my darkest desolation I have cried a thousand tears. Music has not entered my heart for decades of not hearing each note and, through each teary-eyed moment I have known but one bliss. And, through this devastating loss I have suffered a magnanimous pain. And yet, this god of Mercy has rendered his divine will upon my soul of fragrance.

I have walked my desert sands and come upon memory’s plans to ensue me further into the realm of verse and noun. Why, unseen or unknown forces stare down my iniquities. Each day, brings unto me another day of nightfall but, through the power of graces rendered upon this morning I see the sunlight’s prisms of an early spring.

Poetry is truth as we share our words that express our stories. I have been writing poetry over twenty years and have been published within many venues, including two books of mine. As poets we speak our truths and become known by our words. If you are a poet...keep writing. There remains joy and love in the solace of the written word.
